Gerald JowersGerald D. Jowers, Jr.

Mr. Jowers’ practice focuses on representing victims of dangerous and defective pharmaceutical products and medical devices. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the state of South Carolina, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina (2002), and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals (2003).

Mr. Jowers graduated with honors from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in 1998. Afterwards he entered the University of South Carolina School of Law and graduated in 2001. During law school, Mr. Jowers earned academic recognition on the Dean’s List and a Cali Award in The Constitution. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in November 2001. Following law school, Mr. Jowers began a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Kenneth G. Goode, South Carolina Circuit Court Judge.

Since entering private practice, Mr. Jowers has published three times in his areas of practice. His article, “Drug Advertising and Accountability,” appeared in the July 2003 edition of TRIAL magazine, and was later reprinted in the Oregon State Bar Products Liability Section’s quarterly publication. In November 2003, his article, “When the Bulls Make Way for the Bears- Civil Liability Under Federal and State Securities Laws and the Common Law,” appeared in the South Carolina Lawyer. His most recent article, “The Class Stops the Clock,” was featured in the November 2005 edition of TRIAL Magazine. In addition to his publications, Mr. Jowers has lectured to community groups and, recently, the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers.

He is a member of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association (SCTLA), and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA).
